Life Groups are one of the main points of connection, community and care for most people at CLM. Throughout the year, most groups will do a range of activities including Bible Studies, Socials, Book Studies, Short Courses and much more.
We are grateful for a growing, thriving community at CLM and as such, each year it is our joy to launch new Life Groups. Most new groups will commence by running the Rooted Discipleship Journey. This is a 10-week journey with daily devotionals and weekly group meetings that take a look at a range of topics, including ‘Who is God’, ‘Where is God in the midst of suffering’, ‘How can I make the most of my life’, ‘Why is the church important?’ and much more. Since launching the course we have seen a significant, lasting impact in the lives of many. Our desire is that everyone who calls CLM home would experience the Rooted Journey.
In addition to weekly gatherings, our Life Groups have been delighted to get involved with a number of practical serving opportunities over the last few years. In addition to working alongside some of our Mission Partner Projects, we have also recently carried out a ‘Reaching Wider’ project across all of our Life Groups.
In response to our Sunday ‘Reaching Wider’ teaching series (available on the podcast), each group was given a small budget and a brief to devise a plan to reach out to the community. It was fantastic to witness the different ways in which our groups made a difference. Some of the projects included, providing emergency supplies for the homeless, serving local schools and communities, carrying out some home refurbishment and much more. Please see below for some photos from the project.
