Prayer

Prayer is an extremely high value for us as a church – privately and corporately. We carry a deep conviction that prayer changes things. Firstly, it changes us! Secondly, it is abundantly clear to see from scripture that the early church was powered by prayer. It was undoubtedly one of the most highly-valued priorities of the early disciples as they experienced the birth of the Church and the explosive advancement of the Gospel. Every move of God in history has been preceded by fervent prayer.

2026 Prayer Guide

In 2026, we are looking to push further. We invite you to be with us on the journey, prioritising your own personal prayer and joining in the corporate times of prayer whenerv you can.

We have put together a Prayer Guide booklet that contains dates for 2026 for CLM and united prayer meetings, along with a section of fasting. The booklet also includes our Prayer Shield for 2026. CLM’s Prayer Shield is a daily prayer guide that covers the ministries, mission and people of CLM in prayer throughout the year.

CLM Prayer Dates 2026

At each site, Sundays start with prayer – for those serving that day, along with all others who would like to join. Typically, these prayer times take place 45 minutes before the first service at that site, for around 15 minutes.

Additionally, we have important times of Prayer and Fasting and monthly Prayer Meetings. We would love you join and play your part.

Fasting

Prayer and Fasting is a powerful Biblical spiritual discipline which can deeply impact you as you set aside these weeks to seek God. For further information and guidance on fasting, please refer to page 8 onwards in the Prayer Guide. In addition to this, we would also recommend the following articles as good further reading, especially if you are considering undertaking a longer fast, or simply want to know more:

Aligned Prayer

One of the ways we align our individual prayers at CLM is using the ‘Prayer Shield’. This is CLM's prayer guide, to unite our prayers together as we cover the ministries, mission and people of CLM in prayer.

The idea is that we will all use this simple tool individually. Then, as we align our praying together, we know there is great impact in the heavenly realms.

United Prayer

We are also deeply committed to praying with believers from other congregations in our localities. We believe the gathering of Christians from different denominations, networks and streams, to lift up the name of Jesus in worship and to agree together for God's kingdom to come is extremely powerful.

Opportunities for united prayer in Northampton through 2026 will be confirmed locally. In Coventry, City Praise & Prayer is the main forum for praying with others:
